Fellow Pimps,
I have been investigating these spam emails that have been reported over the past few days, and wanted to keep you all posted on the status.
It seems that Lawrence Connor may not have been the person/s responsible for these emails. From what it looks like, someone is mailing through an anonymous proxy. A few people have emailed me w/ full header info from the emails they received, and so far, each of the emails resolved to different locations.
I spoke to Lawrence on ICQ earlier, and heard his side to the story, and for some reason I believe him. He has been a member of this board for a while, and he hasn't caused any trouble here yet. I know he's a pain in the ass sometimes, but I have to give him the benefit of the doubt.
Lawrence, you have done some things to other webmasters in the past that are just not right. However, I haven't heard anything bad about you since you've been a member of this board.
You seem to be pretty much occupied with your "Wang Doodler" project, and trying to promote it, and whatever else you have going on. I should know, I see your board spam all the time. :) Which is no problem, you can spam ON the board all you like. Just don't email spam.
If in fact you are the person sending these mails, I ask you now to please stop. Nobody wants spam emails, especially webmasters.
The rules of this board are pretty simple... There are no rules. But, I do ask that you abide by the laws of your particular location, and keep yourself out of trouble. I don't want to see any fellow webmasters getting into legal trouble for something as stupid as this.
