When you were a newbie, who gave you the best advice that still sticks with you?

Bob Rice of YNOTBob who said - read read read

the more knowledgable I was on the industry the more valuable some people felt I was.

Networking is also extremely important - bad publicity can kill ones career very fast.

I got very little true help back when I was a newb.. most people just offered lots of very bad, or outdated, advice.

It was me against the world baby.

Brad Shaw

He built my first freesite in early 98 I think, and taught me how Yahoo and the freesite thing worked. For free.
Shiny logo and graphics on it. And it made money :-)
Lots of it

Good Thread, this is a tough one, there are so many people to thank. I keep trying to choose a few to list, and the list keeps getting longer and longer, FUCK IT, all these people deserve big props to what we have accomplished and where we are going. Thank you!

The biggest one that comes to mind is JB. Basically taught me how this business works. I was good at acquiring traffic but not converting it. He told me a few things and I figured the rest out. For that help, I have been very loyal to TCG.

Since im new to this my list is short...

Sherm, for sending me this way and other words of advice offered in Vegas.

Dr. Bizarro, not so much about the porn industry but on other advice he gave when I had some open security holes in my coding.

hoping to expand the list soon

Advice? Nobody tought me shit, learned all the shit for myself (which took 5 years more than it would have if someoen had pointed me towards the right direction....)
anyways, I'd like to thank all the customers who actually paid in time. Hawgs especially, they rule. They paid for my trip to Internext last year. :) :) :)
Promote their shit if you don't already, damnit.
