What is the best format for video in member's areas? MPEG? Real Media? Windows Media? Quicktime?

And in what quality?

My views.....wmv is best compression but mpg is always clearer but bigger....
wmv if you are able to compress it properly you can keep alot of the quality and it is rather good

SERIOUS ANSWER:
although I hate to say it, Microsoft takes the cake when it comes to ease of use and distribution, SO you encode for Win media player and broadband (about 300k) quality. If time/money permits, encoding for high and low is better obviously.

screw REAL.
Quicktime is nice, but the majority of yer jerkers are going to have to download the player (then they have problems, etc)

WMV, high/med/low bw.. Cleanest video with the best processing time to make. Then offer MPEG videos of each clip in a high bandwdith so people can download them.
