How much do you honestly need to make to fit your current lifestyle?

Around 45k to pay my bills and live comfortably....but I like having more to play with. :)

I have no health or dental insurance, and I live in Los Angeles, so I would probably need to make like $40k-45k after taxes to pay all my bills.

To GET by just to live.. to eat and sleep- I could do it on 15k Canadian a year.
