I thought GoDaddy had given control of someone's domain to another party without their consent or shut it down for spamming when they hadn't done any....I remember reading something on a board.

I trust DirectNic with my domains.

I pay 5.88 per domain at 1and1.com (http://www.1and1.com/?k_id=6818040). They're a big business, you can trust them.
